I was across the harbour when I saw how the fog/haze make the building look like its disappearing. So I took a ferry across the harbour, waited for "magic hour" and used a low angle to emphasize how tall this building is. It really is a beautiful building at night when you look at it up close, this photo hardly do it justice.

stunning picture! i love it. the colours are amazing and very vibrant. the composition is very dynamic and dramatic. and the sky is an amazing contrast to the building. very well done!

ahhh i love the color-play here, just as much as i love the symmetry - it is absolutely brilliant! and that angle... if this isnt perfect, then its very, very close to perfection :D

nothing short from brilliant, how did it go in the competition? the symetry is awsume, although not perfect its good enough not to be noticible, the angle and the long esposure make is seem so behemoth, exelent shot :clap:

The competition I entered was the Jessops/Practical Photography Photographer of the Year, Round Five: Urban Landscape. I got a feedback slip, its in tick box format and it says next to the box ticked "excellent entry but not good enough to be shortlisted".
